GIVE BACK to the Kŭl′chər
Why Giving is apart of the BGK Travel Experience
BGK Founder Kalila Ingram is no stranger when it comes to connecting with global communities. Her personal experience at the SKY program in Soweto, South Africa gave major insight on how partnering with grass rooted organizations would not only allow her to connect as a traveler, but bring awareness and social justice to a positive cause.
In 2018 she layered a day of "Giving Back to the Kŭl′chər" in the BGK travel programming and brand mission. Starting with a visit to Project Soar at their HQ location in Morocco.
With the people being the root and soul of a countries culture, it's important to ensure BGK travelers are given the opportunity to connect with those off the beaten path and lend a helping hand as a genuine global citizen.

Teen girls are heavily influenced by what they watch in the media. In the Middle East & North Africa (MENA) region, the media portrays teen girls and young women negatively. To amplify the positive impact of this innovative program, Project Soar aims to launch a new online TV channel, called Soar TV, to inspire and empower girls in the MENA region.
